How Do You Demonstrate Leadership?

Fundamental principles underlie the thinking and conduct of all true leaders, and these principles are even sharply defined for leaders within the kingdom of God. From time to time those whom the Lord has chosen for leadership need to examine themselves in the mirror of thought- provoking maxims. These proverbs are designed to help Christian leaders move forward in administrative excellence. What kind of leader are you?•
Responsible leaders do not make irresponsible statements.
• A godly leader speaks out of the presence of God.
• A humble leader never makes light of eternal truths, but esteems them with reverence.
• A wise leader resolves conflicts peacefully, not forcefully.
• An enduring leader withstands insult without anger.
• A wholesome leader is characterized by tolerance, which saves him from hasty decisions in crisis, and retaliations in the face of contrariness.
• The good leader attempts to make friends, not enemies.
• Dealing harshly with opponents causes more aggravation and hostility. A polite leader uses gentleness and kindness.
• A leader who listens well to his subordinates manages them well.
• The greatness of a leader is in his humility before God, not in his eloquence before man.
• A devoted leader gives himself totally to the ones he is leading, helping them to develop their undiscovered potential.
• A patient leader remembers that people's responses vary according to their nature, temperament, and level of development.
• A mature leader shows highest respect for others, irrespective of race or rank.
• A wise leader guards himself against the pitfalls of success, self-assertiveness and over- confidence.
• Broken promises quickly destroy confidence in leadership.
• A wise leader inspires and motivates rather than intimidating and manipulating.
• A weak leader retreats in the face of rising difficulties and loses the respect of his followers.
• Severe trials open the door to new revelation.
• The path of leadership is always lonely.
• The greater the leader the greater his fall when he succumbs to temptations.
• A teachable leader eagerly probes for truth learned by others regardless of their status.
• A relaxed leader relaxes his followers.
• The self-righteous leader lives in a cell made of blocks of deception, hypocrisy, and lies.
• A stubborn leader is a menace who cannot be trusted by his colleagues.

Writing with Inspiration

We should write with inspiration out of our passion. We should avoid writing to please readers with what they wished to read. Each writer carries a passion within him or her.Inspirational writing does nor err towards man or God. Passion alone is not enough, but must be filled with inspiration that keeps subject in focus. Mistakes in writing comes out of passion alone, void of any inspiration.

Truthful Writing?

Truthful writing hurts, so, manipulation of words which amounts to lies exixt. For fear of being prosecuted or being banned could be the many reasons why writing the truth isn't attractive anymore.Writers resort to lies which are not the true picture of what transpired or is transpiring.

Writers go for popularly accepted topics to write about which may be far from the actual truth.Widely talked about topics such as the current social, economical, political situation steals the truth away from being circulated.Interpretation of situations without the relation of truth to them is highlighted daily. The corrossion of truth happens through irresponsible writing and publishing.

Only truth prevails but lies are more interesting and sensational to readers. This ought not be the case. There is no responsibilty attached to lying but there is to truth. You have to pay a price to write truth and publish it.Not many are willing to pay the price attached to writing truth.

Writing Habit!

The schorlarly advocate a wide reading habit.Worlwide campaigns costing thousands of dollars are held annually to encourage the reading habit in general public. The four learning skills are exploited to achieve required target-reading,listening,speaking and writing. But,do we just stop at promoting readership without stirring the writing habit.

Readers need to mature with the writing habit. If readers keep on reading, then writing should be the reaping. They cannot be always reading and never writing. The end result of reading is writing.
We know reading increases knowledge. Whats the use of that knowledge if you do not know how to interpret them for daily living?Interpreting to daily practical living ends in writing, which is, your own practical formulae put into words.

All professions need the writing habit. Why are we not eagerly pushing for writing habit in the general public as well. You and I cannot read, read, read and not write in the end.Words are read and then spoken through proper understanding through listening and finally to be interprated with writing. We must promote the writing habit in people. As much as speaking is an expression of what we have learnt and understood, writing is the other effective form of expression and displaying maturity through learning.

Writing is to be encouraged in all persons, all age groups. This will act as an outlet for thoughts, ideas, beliefs, disbeliefs, doubts, confusion, truth ,lies, and many more intricate human reasoning.Writing evolves from reading, listening and speaking abilities.A person who is a public speaker will eventually be a public writer(if there is such a word). He speaks his mind through various channels.A husband is a public speaker so is a wife.A father is a public speaker to his children,so is the mother.A teacher is a public speaker to his students,so is the student who matures to become a professional in his adult life.Speaking your mind about everyday happenings and things around you would need various forms of expression outlet.Writing is one proven and effective form of expression.

The writing habit must come forward in every individual. It is not to be a chosen field for some only but for every individual. He or she must be able to express oneself clearly through effective writitng and responsibly leaving behind a writen expression of themselves for those that follow them, may it be their children or those placed under their responsible care.

Let us promote the writing habit as sign of maturity through the reading habit!

Writing With A Marked Difference

There is more to the word 'plagiarism'.Plagiarism is by itself unethical behavior, what more if , duplication of writing style and mannerisms in writing. No wonder, reading books and magazines becomes a chore and not what one enjoys doing these days. School-going children no longer enjoy the monotonous textbooks. There is no novelty to pages they read daily.

There is no standard forms of writing as many 'experts' advocate. Every writer is a creative writer with his or her wealth of experience and self acquired knowledge. The writer writes from what he knows and have understood and not from what others in the same field did.

Each individual is different,so, every writing is written with a marked difference. If any writing written by two different individuals are identical in wording, sentence structure, content arrangement, style or more, that amounts to gross plagiarism. One or the other writer did not write but followed what the other wrote.

Writings are done by leaders not followers.Leaders are the ones who make the marked difference in people's lives.Followers can never make a difference but they can only do what is already there.

Writings That Bring Changes To The Reader

There are writings that are written just for the sake of moving the pen or the mouse to fill in the pages that no one reads or flips.Interest in reading continues when what is read is application material to reader's daily living.

Application to one's life of what is read or understood is the true success story of every writer, or else, it will be a sheer waste of effort and precious time to the reader as well ,the writer.

All writings are intended for some kind of change in the reader. When we say writing is to entertain the reader ,we are consciously intending to bring change in the reader from a mood of sadness to happiness, despair to some hope, disgust to acceptance and many other intended reactions.

As a writer,we can expect positive changes in our readers but negative changes come from bad influences from our irresponsible wiritngs.Good writing produces good responses.

Writings With Worth

Writing with message in it, is the best offer in life you could give to someone who needs it most. Most writings miss out on messages that remains.

There is little worth in that writing if it does not convey the message intended. Most writings appear that way.It does not accomplish that which it intends.

But, there is a message that accomplishes that which was intended, though written over a span of six-thousand years. The writings remain to this date and they are never outdated with its content and message. This is so because, these messages come with a lasting purpose in mind.

Wisdom that is pure gives birth to message that remains for a long time. In fact, there is no limit to its time frame. The message is ever new and relevant always. These are the writings that many yearn for, to understand, accept and apply it in their lives and in others.
